Any chance someone has entertained the idea?
Gonna go for a clockwork theme on my next alchemist, and Artificer was my favorite class back in 3.5.
Back then we played with a small change. The artificer could affect multiple creatures with his temporary enhancements, making him kind of a battlesmith, granting the correct bane or weapon/armor ability depending on the situation.
Would it be hard to balance changing out the non-alchemist exclusive spells for the artificer spell list?
Both are 1-6th spell level classes as well.
