I put in Spell Combat, duration, and spell and didn't find anything on this subject. Can you use Spell Combat with spells with a duration such as Burning Gaze after the first round? Not just Burning Gaze but any spell with a duration longer than the first round such as such as Elemental Touch, Fire Breath, and the like.

As a full-round action, he can make

all of his attacks with his melee weapon at a –2 penalty and
can also cast any spell from the magus spell list with a casting
time of 1 standard action (any attack roll made as part of this
spell also takes this penalty).

Any spell means any spell.

Basically, it's cast using Spell combat, not that it has the effects as part of spell combat.

Yes, you can cast the spell. You may not be able to make use of it, though.

Burning Gaze requires a standard action to zap something. So you can cast it, then full round with your weapon (per normal Spell Combat) but after that, you either spend a standard to direct your burning gaze, or you can do anything else.

Same thing with Fire Breath.

You can also cast Elemental Touch, but again, you must use the melee touch attack (or attack with unarmed strike/slam/claw) to get any use out of it. This will not work with Spellstrike.

For example:
Round 1: Spell Combat, cast Elemental Touch, full attack with weapon at -2.
Round 2: Make a melee touch attack with Elemental Touch. Move, if you like.
Round 3: Spell Cobmat, cast Fire Breath, full attack with weapon at -2.
Round 4: Breathe fire. Move, if you like.
Round 5: Make a melee touch attack with Elemental Touch. Move, if you like.

Etc.

Heh, seems those spells are useless with a Magus if I can't fight and use those spells at the same time. That is the idea of being a Magus. Thanks guys for your answers.
