I haven't been there in a little while, but offhand I'd say most of the gaming in Manila is card gaming (Legend of the Five Rings is popular, I know) - that might be the best entree for someone trying to get some PFS going.
As for location, I'd say Ermita/Malate is more likely (proximity to the university), though Makati has some nice venues (like Neutral Grounds).

One of the best DMs I've ever had in the 80's was Javier Baredo, and the crew of gamers around him were 'optimized' long before that word was co opped for gamer sang.
With him at the helm, we narrowly beat Iuz's plots within the Temple of Elemental Evil, gruelingly fought off the tyranny of the Slave Lords, and at a great sacrifice forced Lolth to flee her own layer.
The last game I played with him as DM, on the way to destroy the wand of Orcus with twelve other players/PCs, Pazuzu offered my 5 Fighter/6 Thief/13th Level Bard one way ticket to the Abyssal Maelstrom which the Bard happily took on as a grand adventure.
Hope that group still games.

Hey guys, I've been reading in and I just can't believe I've missed the creation of this rpg since 2008 O_O. I grew crazy with a similar one I had pre-2000 for a Star Wars rpg but this has got to be bigger than that.
There is so much to go through that I just had to kick it off with a Beginner's Box.
Anyway, I'm from the Philippines and I'm posting this hoping to find some players in the area. I don't mind starting up my own group but there has got to be some already existing... I would also appreciate any help you guys can send me along the way so boost my start-up learning curve.
Thanks!!! :D

I've been playing Pathfinder for over a year in a half. We started mainly with D&D 3.5 a few years back until a friend introduced me to PF, which we found significantly better.
For a year and a half now, we've been running the Wrath of the Righteous AP with some side games when we had to introduce new players into the game. Now I have a strong PF gaming group of at least 20 people.
We're gonna be finishing the AP in two more sessions (I' only running it with 7-8 dedicated players, the rest with normal modules). We're thinking of playing through the PFS scenarios, but as registered players.
Is there a way we can start a lodge here in the Philippines?

Absolutely.
Contact Stephen White AKA DarkWhite - He is the Regional Venture Coordinator (RVC) for your region of the world.
He should be able to help you get going with PFS in your region.

Hey guys,
I have a couple of Pathfinder contacts in Manilla, and I believe there's a local game store that one of them frequents. As is the case in most locations, there are Pathfinder players (or would like to be players) everywhere - it's simply a matter of finding each other. Announcing a Pathfinder Society game at a local store is a great way to get things started. I'll see if I can get you in touch with each other.
Cheers,
Stephen

Pathfinder Society Philippines just got launched last Saturday at Ludo Boardgame Bar & Bistro in Makati City! :D We are still finalizing the venue and schedule for the next one. Interested players should join us at our Facebook group (Pathfinder Society Philippines), or watch for SiegeTenk/CJ's post in Warhorn.net.

This interview makes a really good read! So much nostalgia about the various gaming interests that drew many of us into Pathfinder as a hobby.
Cris-Justin Masungsong is a great guy and putting a lot of energy into PFS in the Philippines. I also hear that John Obedoza is also starting up some PFS sessions. CJ and John can both be contacted via the [ Regional Coordinators ] listing - scroll down to Philippines listed under International.

It's great to hear how PFS is growing in the Philippines and other areas in the region. Whether a resident or travelling, be sure to look up the local Pathfinder community and drop in for a game!
Cheers,
Stephen
