Shield Bash

Rules Questions

Say I am a Sword and Boarder, can I use shield bash w/o TWF?

Can I choose to shield bash instead of use my sword?

Yes. Shield bashing needs feats to not lose your Ac bonus or to do it with TWF, but attacking with it is like attacking with any other weapon.

Yes. "as an off-hand attack" was removed from the Shield Bash Attacks text.

You don't need any feats to use the two-weapon fighting combat style with a shield bash.

Anyone see the benefit of shield bashing? I could see using extra fighter feats for to make it better but lets say your a paladin.

Im just exploring some options for a character Im playing int the World Wound Incursion

This is a weird thread to Necro two years later.

There is already a FAQ, and I see nothing unanswered.

lol I just searched for shield bash and clicked the first link

The search function defaults to search by relevance rather than recency so you need to switch it or pay attention to the dates. Regarding the question, it can be useful if you need to overcome DR/B (or DR/P in the case of a spiked shield), but other than that, you should probably just use your primary weapon and save the shield for defense.

Well searched worked then! lol I found a thread that was relevant and I got some answers. ALL IS WELL!
