Adapting the Nimblewright

One of my fellow players is a playing an artificer-like dwarven magus, who wants to one day "invent" the nimblewright in our campaign.

It's a monster from the v3.0's Monster Manual II. How best might we go about converting it to the modern Pathfinder rule set?

B3 has Terra-cotta soldiers and clockwork soldiers.

Close enough? Both are CR6 ish.

From the comparison of the SRD and the Pathfinder SRD constructs, looks like you need to up the BAB to fast fighter progression. Also looks like the 3.0 version didn't have the 20 bonus hit points for Medium sized constructs added in 3.5 and Pathfinder.

Some have suggested adding Weapon Finesse, though the 2d6 blades are questionable as light weapons. Other than that calculate the CMD, CMB and I think you're good to go. The higher BAB and hit points should make it tough enough for Pathfinder in my opinion.

I have the feeling that Nimblewright was updated to 3.5 somewhere, but it could be just my wishful thinking.

On the matter of 2d6 blades and Weapon Finesse - weren't those build in Nimblewrights hands? If so they could be treated as natural weapons and thus count as light weapon for Weapon Finesse feat.

I've given it a shot myself. Tell me what you think.

I think this is a pretty good job. I think that a Nimblewright would be a good candidate for the Lifespark Construct Template. This could be anexample of such a construct being made on purpose.
