I've just recently noticed that my GM had given me Proficiencies in Spells (Ray) and Spells (Touch) when I joined the campaign at Level 3. Does this give me any kind of bonus? I can't find anything online.
My character was originally supposed to be a Conjurer but we changed him around to Evocation after he became more of a combat Wizard. Now I'm wondering I should be getting some kind of ranged touch attack bonus with Scorching Ray, et al.
Thanks!

While i think having you list those is a bit of an eccentric house rule, i can see it from a comprehensive standpoint.
However: Proficiency does not give a bonus, it allows the type to be used without nonproficiency penalties. You would need either Point Blank Shot(works with rays out to 30 feet), or Weapon Focus (Ray or Touch)to gain an actual bonus to rolls with them.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm about to move up to 5th level and was planning on taking Combat Casting. Point Blank Shot has definitely been noted as a Feat for a later date.
