Group needs two players for Maptools / Skype Jade Regent game

Just as I was about to get this game kicked off with some IRL friends, two people backed out. Looking for two players to fill in. We've got a rogue and a wizard (spellslinger) so far. One fo the players is brand new to PnPRPG's. Looking at playing on Saturday evenings around 7-7:30ish (GMT -6h), but that can be worked around. Let me know if you have any questions.

I've been looking for a PF game via skype for a while now. PbP is great too, but sometimes the slow pace just gets infuriating :)

However I'm from Germany, so I think the time difference is 7 hours to you and that game would start at 2 am for me. That by itself wouldn't actually be as big a problem as it seems, but it sort of depends on how long you're planning to play each week.

I've no idea yet really as to what I would like to play. Have pondered a druid or ranger for a while now, but that's nothing definitive yet.

I am quite interested in trying some gameplay through skype. The set time is fine with me, but if there will be some late evening gameplay from Sunday-till Thursday I will not be able do join(since I am in Japan atm). I would like to try a cleric or a wizard.

I was born from a disposed Chelaxian Noble who turned traveling merchant and a keleshite women traveling with a merchant caravan from carasmon. I grew up with my family in various cities and on the trade routes when I was of an age where I could be my own man my mother was recalled to her homeland to fulfill familial duties and my father accompanied her I joined an order of monks and after some time with them I set out on my journey as a wandering scholar teaching and learning as I went from city to city, town to town. Providing education or simply help smaller villages with physical labor if need be to earn a bed and meals. My travels eventually lead me to Sandpoint where I ran into all old friends of my fathers and decided to help her out as Madame Mvshati needed and when I had down time id teach at Turandarok Academy. Then the time before Madame Mvshati passed away she called me to her house and there I gave my word to her that if her daughter Koya would ever go on a long journey I would go with her and provide her protection. Their I stayed after I made my oath by her bedside till she passed on and have been helping out the Mvshati family as much as possible and still kept up teaching the orphans at the academy till the day would come that I would have to fulfill my oath.

Feats planned to be taken later Quick draw, Improved Trip, Combat Expertise, Improved and greater two weapon fighting, Quarter staff master, Weapon focus( Quarter staff), Tripping staff, Tripping strike, Tripping Twirl.

Background:

Nieander was born in a family of shepherds close to town of Sandpoint. His adventuring life started in an oddly fashion: while watching over his herd he was attacked by wolves and instead of confronting them he started running falling accidentally into a deep valley, then all turned black...

The first thing he saw after that was the worried face of a middle aged woman, that brightened as soon as she realized that he regain consciousness. He was asleep for three days... The woman named Koya Mvashiti saw him from the caravan that was passing through the valley, and by casting spell after spell she finally managed to stabilize the young one, and fallowing her mother's suggestion she took him with the caravan. After that event Nieander was attracted to the divine power that saved her life like moth to the flame and remained forever in debt to the person that saved his life and later becoming his mentor, taking him in many of her journeys. She refused however to teach the specific him the secrets of Desna, saying that he would have to choose his own path.

Even after learning some divine magic he was still nothing more than a weakling and each time there was a danger he was ordered to hide inside the caravan and from time to time he was mocked jokingly by some of it's members. Willing to acquire more power to protect himself and the persons who were precious to him, as well as proving that he is quite a capable fighter. Then he met a monk willing to teach him how to defend himself, he left the caravan and started training with that monk. (If both Jinchi I make it, and he has nothing against it, he can be that monk). When he was confident enough on his powers he wished to experience one more time the adventures as one of the members of that caravan, hoping to show how much he grew.

Id love to play, what are the guidelines for chracter creation/ application. As there is a rouge and a spellslier so far, Id be happy to play as a fighter most likely TWF. The time is fine for me, I can do either skype or PBP. It would be my first time for either.

I'm using a 25 pt buy. (I'm really more interested in the story than in trying to run you through really difficult fights. Not to say that there won't be any hard fights, but the ability scores are the help I'm giving out since one player is completely new to TT RPG's)

We do have a rogue and a wizard (spellslinger) so far. I'm closing recruitment Thursday and will be choosing that evening. You can play whatever you want, but keep in mind that there are lots of evil outsiders in this campaign and some manner of dealing with that (banishment, prot. from evil, etc...) would be handy.
