Qinggong monk and magic items

Rules Questions

So, I was asking about making a blaster Qinggong monk on another message board and I was wondering:

Seeing as a monk's robe increases your effective monk level for other abilities, would it do the same for this monk's S.L.A caster levels? And would a necklace of Ki serenity do the same thing?

I kinda think I’m grasping at straws here, but I wanna be sure.

No. A Monk's Robe treats your AC and unarmed damage as a monk of five levels higher, and if you have Stunning Fist, grants you one extra stunning attack per day. None of those are replaced by Ki Powers, so it does the same thing for a Qinggong monk as a regular monk.

The Necklace of Ki Serenity grants a +4 bonus to your effective level when determining the size of your ki pool and the level-based effects of your ki pool ability (such as bypassing damage reduction). The Qinggong monk archetype doesn't affect your ki pool ability, so again, it does the same thing for a Qinggong monk as a regular monk.

Oh, okay, thanks for clearing that up.
