Recalculate bonus hitpoints when turning into an undead creature

Rules Questions

I know that you do not recalculate class hit dice, but would you still recalculate bonus hitpoints (from CON to CHA) or do they stay the same for the class levels prior turning into an undead creature and you'll apply CHA only to levels after turning?

Thanks in advance
huppi

I think you mean "turning into an undead creature", not "turning undead" (which has a completely different meaning).

My two cents: if it said "don't recalculate hit points", then I would just leave them as they were, including Con bonus. But most of the time it just says "don't recalculate hit dice", in which case I would redo it with Cha bonus instead of Con.

Thanks for your input! Just changed it ;) I totally forgot about the feat;)

In such case hit points should be recalculated as if they would be in case of permanent Constitution score change - only the score being used is now different.

The hit dice being unchanged refers to the fact that class-derived HD are kept as they were while racial HD might be changed from old type to Undead's d8 (example: vampire changes racial HD to d8 but keep class HD unchanged).
