I am gming my first campaign in a long while and I am wondering what spells to watch out for in the gam,e I limeted the books to only core and the apg as this is my first outing gming pathfinder ( having a blast playing btw thanks paizo)
ALso if any one has any tips or trick on council of thieves or just gming in general I would greatly appriciate it.
Happy holidays jace.

Tips:
1. Familiarize yourself with the adventure beforehand. It'll really help.
2. If a rules question comes up, offer a few seconds to look it up/player state their case/whatever, then say "Alright, for now we'll do X. Someone write this down and we'll look into it more between sessions."
3. Remember, it's not you versus the players. So when you're excitedly looking forward to throwing a certain challenge/obstacle their way, and then discover that the challenge in question just happens to be someone's specialty and they cake-walk it, don't get affronted or feel the need to mess with stuff because "it's supposed to be harder than that". Let them enjoy their moment in the spotlight.

Not that I am an uber gamer or DM. But my preference is to let Creativity rule. If a PC comes up with a creative solution that might not be completely RAW, then I let it go. For example I just ran an encounter where the PC's were collecting some Stone Sculptures, and had to return them undamaged. A PC used an AOE spell, rolled really high and overcame their hardness and damaged them. Simply going off how I had written the encounter, they blew it. One of them had the idea of resting the night, and preparing Stone Shape. Stone Shape does not SAY that is can repair a statue, but it was a good idea, so I said it could count as a Cure Light Wounds. They wind up still failing as they didn't roll high enough to fix them in time, but it was fun to watch them try and almost succeed.
Just my preference though, other will vehemently disagree

check out this section of the forums for discussions specific to council of thieves. Chances are alot of what you might run into someone has posted about already, so have a look, and any questions specific to the AP should be posted there (where presumably people who know the adventure path are more likely to catch it).
