Druid - Dire Tiger form and increasing size.

Rules Questions

Hey all.

I needed clarification on a few things, namely increasing or decreasing the size of your Wild Shape. I am participating in a campaign where we are level 6, however due to being a Lion Shaman my Wild Shape essentially acts as if I was level 8. Assuming I have access to the form here are a few questions for you all: (Please note, if you can provide pages and/or book support to your answer I'd appreciate it.)

1.) A Dire Tiger is Large size however access to Wild Shape at 8th level allows me to take on the form of Huge Animals. Am I allowed to freely change my size to Huge as a Dire Tiger or even do something silly as choosing to be a Diminutive Dire Tiger?

2.) For my own sanity, due to the Archetype I literally gain the advantage of Wild Shape for level 8 and all the benefits it gains, correct? (e.g. 3/day)

Thanks again.

EDIT: 3.) A little bit different, but how much would a Corrosive Amulet of Mighty Fists +1 cost? 11,000g?

RAW - No, you need to have the animal exist in the Bestiary to take its form.

Me - I'd be willing to entertain simply taking the abilities of an animal, including its natural attacks and special traits (like Scent, Trip, Movements, etc) and scaling them up a size for my players. I would not, in any event, do this for anyone who is using Large Cat forms. Not because it doesn't make sense, but because Large Cats (such as Lions) are far and away ridiculous damage outputters already at large size. They dont need it.

Wolves, on the other hand, could benefit competitively by such a scaling up.

Liberty's Edge

Jason Nelson, the designer for these archetypes, has said repeatedly that this was how it was intended to function. Shamans are supposed to be able to wildshape up or down size categories to make use of their totem animals at higher levels.

RAW - NO
RAI - YES

Talk to your DM.

Thank you for your responses. That's exactly how I thought it was and just wanted to be clear. I suppose I can survive knowing that my PC has 5 attacks on the charge...
