OK so I wanted to try making a DD but i couldn't really pick how i wanted to build up to DD so i was about to just go brab/sorc crossblooded with orc /dd and just use nature weapons to fight with but i just found the dragon rider class. But i really like the flavor of it.
I want to know will a lvl 5 dragon rider be able to be a DD and also any ideal on how you would go about building one. Also any build suggestion for a dd would be nice.

Yes, though I can't necessarily say it would be a great idea. You'd be giving up 10 levels of draconic steed progression. If you could persuade your DM to let you take a feat to allow the levels of Dragon Disciple to progress your Draconic Steed as well then it 'might' be worthwhile. (Keep in mind you're still sacrificing BAB and a bunch of cool class features.)
Now, if your DM would allow the Boon Companion feat to count for Dragon Disciple (which would get you back 3 levels of Draconic Steed progression), dropping in for 4 levels (which only costs you 1 BAB) to grab +4 strength and +2 Natural Armor might not be a bad idea ^_^ Heck you only lose one level of spellcasting with that dip as well.

First off, are you restricted to Pathfinder materials? Is 3rd party content allowed? If you're explicitly restricted to 'Paizo Content only' without the specific note that it has to be Pathfinder, you may be able to use some Dragon Magazine stuff.
Let me know what resources are at your disposal and we'll go from there my friend.

Animal Companion Class Levels stack, so Mounted Fury Barbarian would be a good choice, although at Level-4, you aren't really gaining that many Companion Levels. This comes with the baggage of Rage, so Casting while Raging is a no-no.
You can also go with Roughrider Fighter archetype, which should net you about +2 AC and Saves for the Mount (morale), as well as +1 att/dmg for you AND the mount, and the Mount isn't slowed down by medium load/medium armor (so they can Tumble in it). You also don't suffer Armor Check Penalty on Ride checks, so load up on the Adamantine Fullplate! If you dip back in Fighter, the 7th level ability basically lets your Mount make a Move, then you jump off and Full Attack (and the Mount takes it's Standard).
Either way, Boon Companion would be very good, and if the Dragon Rider Class uses normal Companion rules, it should apply to that.

+1
I thought about this build, too (pretty obvious, really) but you do end up hurting A LOT on the Dragonrider class abilities.
You could also go the DD/Mounted somethingorother route and pick up a dragon mount/cohort through Leadership, though.
Right now I'm playing a Cleric with the Animal/Feather sub domain and I intend to shapechange my tiger into a dragon at lvl 17 :D
