Reckless Abandon only for Babarians level?

I was wondering if this ability works only with barbarian level like many of the Rage Power a Barbarian have.

Most people would get two levels of Barbarian for any class because of this I would say.

It only works while rageing if that is what you are asking.

Edit: If you are asking if the +1 to hit and -1 ac still incress by evey four levels. Then yes. It is nice and all, but only lasts while rageing and not always worth a 2 level dip just to get it.

Yes, the ability only scales with Barbarian levels, or 'effective Barbarian levels' i.e if you have the Ranger Archetype with an effective Barbarian level.

Technically, No. It is missing the wording that would do that. As they used "+1 per four barbarian levels" for most powers but just used "1 at 4th level and every four levels thereafter" for that power. It would by RAW scale with non barb levels.

RAI I am not to sure on however.

i'm pretty sure there is tons of other class abilities that reference levels in that way, and the standard is that class abilities are assumed to reference their own class level unless they say 'character level'. saying barb level is clearer, but I don't think it's necessary.

Rage is a class ability. And thus it references class levels as state in the multiclassing section on page 31. So reckless abandon only counts your barbarian levels.

*Crosses yet another cool rage power off the potential dip list.*

Oh if only it had run on BAB instead.

Barbarian dipping in Fighter or Ranger is better IMHO. 4 levels of so in those can pick up nice stuff. Barbs are just too awesome now, Rage Powers are better than most Feats, certainly when you still are getting normal Feats to get a few good Feats, like Rhino Charge.

I stand corrected then.

I agree it's confusing, especially with the ruling that class abilities CAN affect other class abilities, e.g. Bloodlines applying DC boosts to other Spellcasting Classes... I honestly think that isn't the best ruling, even if it's not really overpowered per se in terms of multiclassing... just on the basis of implications in other areas as well as consistency.
