Frightful Aspect

Rules Questions

Should there be a save against the shaken aura and/or fear effects of this spell?

It's an 8th-level spell, so it seems fine without a save. Especially since once an enemy has been frightened for 1d4 rounds, the aura no longer affects that enemy at all.

I agree. There is a 4 lvl spell Auru of doom that gives a will save or shaken. This is a 8 lvl spell - that "only" makes people shaken (+a slightly improved Rightous Might).
Sure you could have both aura's and force a creature to make a will save (against the 4 lvl spell) or become frightend - but for an 8 lvl spell - really the cleric spelllist is really weak compared to the arcane list - no save is okay. As for SR? - Well everything else seems to have SR:Yes so I would vote yes on that one..

Is there a casting time for Frightful aspect? I am currently going with Standard cause it seems logical but there is nothing listed.

Spell resistance should not apply. You are actually becoming something scary, not affecting somebody with a spell. Its not the magic that makes them shaken, its seeing the horrible thing you have become. No save, but if you are immune to fear or mind-effecting then no worries.
