RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32

Hey Everyone,

I'll looking at running a high level Pathfinder campaign from 15-18 level. The players are building 15th level characters for the campaign.

I'm looking for advice from you my fellow GMs, as well as time savers in and out of game for me and my players.

I'm also looking for links to any pre-generated NPCs, NPC generators, spell generators, and treasure generators I may have missed to help speed up creating game material out of game.

Thanks,

kid america

dotting for interest. I love high level play.

Herolabs is your friend. So are old AP's. Even 3.5 villians can be used. You may have to do some conversion work but it is still faster than a straight build.
Check http://www.d20pfsrd.com/ for some homebrew stuff as well.

Use average damage tables for anything with 10+ dice.
Roll attack and damage dice at the same time.
Pre-roll initiative.
Do all shopping away from the table.
Encourage use of the Vital Strike feat chain.
Try to limit the number of summoned creatures--or try to encourage summonin 1 big creature with 1 big attack instead of several creatures with multiple attacks each. And have the players have them fully statted out and written down.
Encourage players to know all spells prepared or known like the back of their hands. Written down on spell cards at a minimum.
Ditto with magic items.

And when I say written down, I mean written down. Don't just print them out. Write it all out--NEATLY--by hand so you really learn all your character stuff.

Also, use an egg timer or 3 minute hourglass or something for player turns. If a player can't decide what to do in 10 seconds, they automatically delay their action and move on to the next player.

Verdant Wheel Manager - Bell's Comic and Trading cards

besides what has been mentioned, and the obvious, i would recommend trying to keep a close eye on the wealth you will hand out to your players at this level, and also be careful what kind of gear you are allowing access to.

Also don't let the group get too big, i would not dare to play a at this level with more then 4 or 5, maybe, and i mean a hard pressed maybe 6.
