Phalanx Fighter with Shield of Swings

Rules Questions

Greetings all,

Human Fighter (Phalanx Fighter)

1. Power Attack, Combat Reflexes, Weapon Focus (Polearm X)
2. Quick Draw, Stand Firm
3. Shield of Swings, Phalanx Fighting

Equipment - Steel Quick Draw Shield - Polearm X

Combat Starts

Fighter is wielding the Quick Draw Shield and pole arm and moves up to target. Free action he puts his shield on his back and then Standard Action swings at target holding his polearm two-handed and using shield of swings. Free action dons shield again.

Does this work? Would he be able to switch his shield back and forth like that (Due to the Quick Draw Shield and Quick Draw Feat) and still gain the +4 bonus from shield of swings so that with the shield have a +5?

Bonuses of the same type don't stack unless noted otherwise (i.e. dodge). Shield Of Swings +4 shield bonus to AC does not stack with actual shield nor shield spell.

Ah, thank you. I guess it should have been obvious. :S
