Is there a canon deity who fits this description?

Advice

Alignment nonchaotic and nongood, preferably N or LN.

Domains include at least two of Water, Knowledge, Trade or Law.

Is there any such?

Thanks in advance,

Doug M.

Pharasma is N and has Knowledge and Water

Abadar has Trade and Law and is LN.

We at D20pfsrd.com encourage you to use Pathfinder Wiki for questions relating to "fluff" or content specific to Golarion. This page has a great amount of detail regarding the gods of Golarion.

Irori has Law and Knowledge. So does Dranngvit, but he's a less common choice.

For Archdevils, there's Mephistopheles (Law and Knowledge) and Geryon (Law and Water). Magdh, of the Eldest, for Law and Knowledge. Kelizandri, Elemental Lord of Water has Water and Travel (which may include Trade, it's not clear). Daemon Horseman of Death, Charon, has Knowledge and Water. Andoletta, of the Empyreal Lords, has Law and Knowledge.

There are also the Archdevils Barbatos (Law and Travel), Geryon (Law and Water), and Mephistopheles (Knowledge and Law).

Of the Eldest there are Magdh (Knowledge and Law) and Ng (Knowledge and Travel).

There is also the Elemental Lord Kelizandri (Travel and Water) and the Horseman of Death Charon (Knowledge and Water).

Of course, most of these guys are evil. Don't know if that's kosher.

EDIT: Ninja'd by 30 seconds?!

Eh, with those extra 30 seconds, you got Ng and Barbatos, both of which I missed, in my mad scramble to ninja you. :)

In any case, the two neutral others are Magdh and Ng. If evil gods are not your thing, those are the alternatives to Abadar and Pharasma.

How the heck did I miss Abadar?

Not a good choice in this case, though. The setup is that the PCs are encountering a temple where the priests have just been massacred in a close fight that left only a few of the attackers still alive. The PCs will have to deal with the surviving attackers plus a couple of menaces that the priests were keeping chained up for their own reasons. If it's Abadar, the PCs will want to stop everything and loot the temple.

Backstory: the priests are located in a port city in a very cold (arctic) climate. They control a powerful monster that has useful powers of prediction. However, in recent years the priests have become fat, careless, and rather corrupt. Now something has killed them all off, and the PCs are arriving at the massacre scene just as combat is concluding.

Abadar would be a good choice except for the loot aspect. Andoletta, probably too nice. Pharasma... maybe?

Crocell is pleasantly obscure.

What are the eldest, and who are Ng and Magdh?

The Eldest are ancient, powerful fey creatures - kind of like fey gods, except they're not actually deities (but they might as well be for purposes of the First World [aka the Fey Realm])

Ng and Magdh are two Eldest (ancient fey creatures) that have the concerns that you mention. Eldest, however, are not well known and, as far as I know, not worshiped on the material. Still, that's what home campaigns are for!

I don't know why looting would be a bad thing (it's kind of what adventurers do), though if it's a real problem (regardless of who you go for), simply have the EVENT corrupt things so that they're effectively non-lootable (aka acidic stuff/magical corruption, curses galore, etc).

That said, go with whatever you like! :)

The possibility for the deity to notice the PCs looting a still sanctified temple after his/her followers were massacred ...

The loot being identifiable to any follower of the faith. Which could end up with the PCs being marked as part of the attacking band ...

Couldn't agree more. :)

Silver Crusade

Pharasma covers prophecy and her clerics can easily be NE. Seems like the best fit for me.
