So. I just started running Jade Regent, and the caravan section seems kind of... confusing. Maybe I'm just missing it, but allow me to make a few points; hopefully someone can clear it up.
First and foremost; caravan combat encounters seem kind of..boring. I understand it's simplified, but the players don't really get to do anything with their characters. It's simply caravan attack roll, possible damage/enemy attack roll, possible damage; wash, rinse, repeat.
Second; combat, damage, and morale. It's mentioned that a morale roll is called for, among other things, when a wagon gets destroyed or a passenger dies. However, from what I've seen, there's no rules to determine that. Hit Points are the total of all the wagon HP combined, and there's no person-on-person combat. So, am I missing something?
