Thank you...now what are some ways to acquire this ability?

In Pathfinder? Be a Druid and turn into something with it, be a Synthesist Summoner and buy the pounce evolution, be a high level Barbarian and take the pounce talent.

In 3.5 you can most easily get it as a 1st level Barbarian alternate class feature (replaces fast movement.)

The barbarian pounce ability is in the Beast Totem tree of rage powers.
Similarly, you can cast Force Hook Charge as a Magus.

Force Hook Charge only allows one attack at the end of it. (I love the visual though, totally want to base some grappling hook guns off that spell.)

On the casting note though, there is Psionic Lion's Charge which survived the transition.

Hmm. I don't see why you couldn't full attack. You full attack as part of spell combat. Assuming you have multiple attacks already, of course. You cast the spell before your full attack, get pulled to a new position, then you continue with spell combat which is a full attack. It's actually technically not a charge at all (no +2 bonus or -2 AC unless I'm missing something.)

If you use this spell with your spell combat class ability, you can make your melee attack from your starting position or your ending position.

It's a standard action cast Meatrace

17th level monk of the 4 winds get the pounce ability from ~900ft away... IIRC.

Regrettably level 17 is sooooo far into a character's career, if they ever get there at all.

Ideally you want pounce by level 5 to go with Haste. Failing that, by BAB +6 you really want it.
