What happened to the Echoes of Overwatched mod?

Silver Crusade 4/5

So.. Am I the only one that noticed that the release of Echoes of Everwar the new Season 3 mod just got pushed back to Nov 9 instead of today? HEY!!! I wanted Echoes REALLY bad to play for Halloween.. Bring back my module!

Instead of the Echoes of the Overwatched scenario for Halloween, consider the Carrion Hill module instead?

I noticed it yesterday afternoon, just about when they changed it (since I was impulsively refreshing every half-hour or so...) I too planned on running it Monday. I've since changed to Black Waters. If you haven't run it, it seems to have a creepyness factor that will work well for Halloween.

I ran Black Waters last week to good seasonal effect.

The creepy factor bumped up when...

I had Echoes of the Overwatched scheduled for this weekend and 7 players all signed up, but alas! I had to last minute change out and go back to Season 2... Boo.

I had a full table of 1/2 people who have played all of the other 1-5s, and 1/2 newbies with thier first level 2s... now there isn't a second scenario for them to run next week (doing last months 1-5 first slot)

I'm just saying, it makes no sense to me, you guys say one day, and push it back two weeks? This is another reason why I wish we had a subscription plan, so I don't have to keep tabs on what's and when something is available.

And yes, it is Echoes of the Overwatched. We just completed playing all the Blackrose Museum modules to date, which was why we really wanted to play the newest one. This is lame..

I'm glad to hear you enjoy the Blakros Museum scenarios so much; it's why we keep putting out more.

We never like missing target release dates, but sometimes things happen. In the case of physical products, there can be printing errors or customs delays. One of the upsides of digital products is that some of these physical-matter-dependent problems can be averted, but there are still a lot of steps in the process of putting out new material that can cause delays. Believe me when I say that we want this scenario out now too, but it just couldn't be done. Instead of leaving the scenario's eventual release up in the air, however, we decided it best to let everyone know the date by which we anticipate it will be ready to go.

In the meantime, we just released an additional 7 Chronicles for sanctioned Pathfinder Modules (Feast of Ravenmoor and Carrion Hill are both excellent for Halloween), as well as 4 Beginner Box Bash demos that award Pathfinder Society PCs one of the coolest boons we've yet released in the campaign, so you should be able to find an alternative to this delayed scenario.

Again, sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding and patience.

Are those BBB demos going to be released online somewhere? Because there are no BBB in my state, and I know a few people that have the beginner box and would be interested in running those for our pfs group.

There is nothing saying that you cannot organize a Beginner Box Bash event. As I recall, there are numerous game stores in Michigan (not sure where you are) that could be a host venue. In many areas, the game store owner is acting as the organizer for this event since they will benefit directly from people buying the product.

And even if you are in an area away from a FLGS, check with local book stores, coffee shops, or even a local pizza place. Many alternate venues lend themselves to the space required and if you schedule it on a day/night they are typically very grateful. Having a group of eager GM's ready to support you is a great boon.

Do something over the next couple of weeks and you can reward players not only with the rewards associated directly with the BB, but also the Jestercap boon as well. Epic Win!

Good Luck

I've got plenty of sites to play at, and our group has 3 GM's who'd be willing, what I don't know is how to get the info. With the retirement of Doug-doug, Michigan no longer has a Venture Captain to contact, and I've been able to find no other information about this on the site.

Email Mike Brock and he can get you set up. Also, if your FLGS is registered on our Retailers page, then they should already have the Beginner Box Bash demos and promotional material, so it may be as simple as prodding them to offer a chance to use it.

Can we get a hint about the maps we'll need for Echoes? With it being released so close to our local convention weekend, getting a heads-up on the maps might be helpful. Will Echoes:

A.) Use the ground floor of the Blackros Museum (Mists/Penumbral)?
B.) Use the basement/secret cavern (Voice in the Void)?
C.) Use a new map altogether?

Thanks!

Just wondering if there is an update on the release of Echoes? I had it and another Season 3 scheduled to run this coming weekend, but I notice they are both listed just as Unavailable.

I've switched out this weekend's scenarios, so no harm done there. Just curious when I can send my Pathfinders back to Blackros Museum... :)

Both #3–07 and #3–08 have been turned over to the web team and should go live today, as indicated on their product page for the last few weeks. I don't know why the availability on them switched from "Available tomorrow" to "Unavailable" instead of to "Available later today" but those sorts of technical details are not my purview anyway.

Thanks for the speedy reply Mark!

I've changed the name of this thread to reflect the real title of the scenario for future reference if anyone's ever searching for this thread down the line.

You should've asked them to change "mod" to "scenario" while they were at it :)

So since we already have it.. We are going to turn this into the GM's discussion for the new module! Remember to use the appropriate spoiler tags, please and thank you!
