Can't Make Elemental Eidolions?

Rules Questions

Dark Archive

Is there ANY way to get an elemental subtype on an eidolion? Seems to me there sure ought to be. I can make my eidolion a humanoid pillar of flame, give him fire attacks and immunity to fire... but he never gains the fire subtype?

Please tell me there's a way! I'm trying to make an "earth elemental" eidolion, but - RAW - I'm not seeing a way to make him an elemental, or give him game-mechanical elemental affinity.

Halp? Thoughts?

Elementals are outsiders.

Eidolons are outsiders.

I smell a solution. Or maybe I smell AM BARBARIAN.

Can't you house rule it?

We play a pretty houserule-free game. You would think there'd be a way to do this. "Elemental thing" is a pretty classic idea when it comes to big, summoned monsters. : /

The thing is elementals come with a whole lot of immunities and cool toys that are elemental traits, have to be a 4 point evolution at least if not more.

Then, no. Sorry, it is not an available RAW option.

You'd think that in a game that is a 3rd party reimagining of 3.5,there'd be more acceptance of house rules and other 3rd party content.

Shrug.

The main issue of an elemental Eidolon is the immunity to crits and precision damage.

Agreed, though I tend to house rule EVERY rpg I play, so idk. Different strokes for different folks.

I would allow you to define your eidolon as an elemental, but make you purchase the immunities. Pretty much the same mechanically as having an undead eidolon. That would be houserules though.

By RAW, sorry, no options published at this time.
