Magus Arcana from 3rd Party

This Magus arcana does not specify how much time it takes to use it, so lets say I want to do this in a battle, how do I know how much time I take?

By default, supernatural abilities are a standard action to activate. The description doesn't say that, so that is what I would go with.

Is this the appropriate place for me to bring up my dislike of the "standard action unless said otherwise" idea?

Look at Life Link (on PFSRD). It doesn't have an action, but it is not a standard action. It's a Not An Action.

There would be no such thing as a "standard" action if it wasn't the action type that applied the most.

Well they should at least specify whether something is a Not An Action action. Or use "free action that can be done outside of your turn", which I much prefer.

Yep, that's a standard action. That's why I had it last so long.

And the official rule really is if a Su doesn't say otherwise, it's a standard action to use.

And, life link ought to specify otherwise.
