Any reason the standard character sheet doesn't have a spot for class?

Just curious, since the WoTC sheets suffer from the same problem. There's no place to record class, prestige classes, or class archetypes.

Any reason?

What sheet are you looking at? I see 'Character Level' directly below 'Character Name' on the one in the CRB.

On the Char Sheet, you have a large space for "level", on some 3rd party char sheets they add class in this spot. I usually use it as my lvl and class section, it can fit a class and a prestige fairly easily, if you write at a decent size.

Because the core sheet is a poor usage of real-estate page wise and should pack a lot more information on there than is currently presented.

Ohh whats that 4 weapon slots and no room for special circumstance ( ranger favored enemy, Rage effects, pally smite, under the effects of divine favor for clerics inquisitors and oracles, under the effects of divine favor and wrath for those classes, while inspiring courage and arcane striking, etc. Unless i want to use all 4 slots statting out ONE weapon and all of my common (usually) self induced circumstances.

Nor do I remember seeing a space for energy resistances an expanded AC or skill modifier section.

But I have been making my own sheets for every kind of game I have play since I learned how to use word/excel in the late 80's ,due to it lacking things I wanted or needed so I am for sure biased against the base sheet.

I just use Notepad to type up a stat block.

My characters usually only use one or two weapons at most, so I use the rest of the slots to factor in circumstances. If I'm playing a barbarian I'll do one slot regular, no PA/Rage, one for Rage, PA, PA and Rage, so on and so forth.

But my pie-hole is woefully devoid of pie as of late.
