Hey all. If someone were to cast a Silent Image of a wall on a wall, and a PC were to lean on said wall, would that constitute "interacting" with it, and thus provoke a Will check to see if it were an illusion?
Thanks
I would absolutely give them a Will save at that point. But why put an illusion of a wall over an existing wall?

Touching certainly constitutes "interaction". The illusionary wall can't occupy the exact same space as the real wall, so it must rest at least a fraction of an inch in front of it. A person attempting to lean up against it would actually sink through the illusionary surface a minuscule amount; succeeding on the saving throw would mean that he's noticed this odd phenomenon.

Count_Rugen forgot to put the words of fire after the second "wall". ;)
Seriously, though, if the illusion is within an inch or so of the actual wall surface and there are no massive tactile discrepancies (such as the illusion being spiked and the original wall being smooth... or vice versa), I'd probably require a Perception check before allowing the Will save. If there are obvious discrepancies, you'd go straight to the Will save. But that's my shot from the hip, not based on any official rules.
