House Rogarvia

Kingmaker

Does it come out at all later in this adventure path what happened to House Rogarvia? Or is it just background story crunch? (I've only purchased the first two APs so far.) Thanks.

Background crunch. There's room for you to develop it if you want to. Events in Number 3 are kind of similar in a way to the Rogarvia disappearance, but not overtly connected. Number 6 has stats for a significant Rogarvia if you want to continue the campaign but he does not feature in the AP directly.

Thanks Gang for the reply. I'm curious if any other DMs decided to do anything with the Rogarvia plot in the Kingmaker campaigns (or in any of their PF games). If so, let's hear it please!

I am planning on bringing them back as soon as they are level 20...
Big clash of armies, and let them try and bring down the mighty COnqueror and his newly amassed horde of dragons..

(Mostly because one of my player says "Dragon are ninnies at PC level 20".. And I wish to make him cry ;DDD

My Campaign:
In my campaign, which you can read here on the forums, the Stag Lord is actually Nikolai Rogarvia, last heir of the fallen House. His father, the King, gave Nikolai to Choral the Conquerer, his own ancestor and an ancient red dragon, as collateral for power. Choral tortured and experimented on Nikolai, hence the scars and crazy. Nikolai prayed for release, but was not answered by the gods. Finally, Nyrissa came to him and freed him, gaining his fealty. Choral seized every membeer of House Rogarvia in retaliation, but Nyrissa kept Nikolai safe. He fled Brevity into theStolen Lands, where he became the Stag Lord.

One of my PCs is currently dead at his hand, and now the two of them are fighting their way back to life.

HUARHUARHUAR!!! Like in "not suicidal to go against more than ONE "?

My first D&D GM told me: it should not be possible for non-high-level PC´s to slay a dragon at all to begin with, if they do, the GM didn´t play the dragon properly to the hilt.

Perhaps I'm not qualified to speak here since my campaign is only recognizable as the basic "Kingmaker" arc by stray names and the kingdom building mechanics influence, however...

Spoiler:
Looking through the Golarion timeline, I noticed that Daralathyxl, "king" of the Chromatic dragons, made his last appearance on Avistan right around the Rogarvian disappearance. So, I've developed Choral[e] the Conqueror into one and the same as said beast. His house—or, rather, the intrigue which surrounds it—will be forming my game's spine as an elusive source of political masterminding, all seemingly done from out of time. Eastern Avistan will be groomed by Rogarvian loyalists (both unwitting and intentional participants) in their absence.

Their mass exodus is explained by the tactics Chorale is employing. I'll reserve talking about any of that due to its verbose intricacies until deeper interest should be expressed.

Good fun!
