Quick question: does having a spell-like ability (such as a rogue's minor magic talent) qualify a character or monster for crafting feats (by granting them a caster level) or do spell-like abilities only have a 'virtual caster level' for purpose of determining spell-like ability effectiveness?
Did a search, couldn't find the answear. Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

SLAs are not spells and cannot be used to activate scroll etc see FAQ Here. It is reasonable to extend this to all crafting - with the standard explicit exception for the Summoner Summon SLA (Which says in its description that it can be used - specific vs general.)

Well, Summoners also have a spellcasting class feature so they have a CL regardless.
While I agree it is reasnoble to extend the fact that SLAs are not spells to posession of caster levels for the purpose of qualifying for crafting feats (or any feat with a CL prereq), I want to know what the rules as written are.
Also, I've noticed that some (monster) SAs also indicate a caster level for their effect. So, I guess if SLAs qualify someone for caster feats than SUs which mention a caster level (such as a horned devil's infernal wound ability) would also qualify for crafting feats? What about SUs that don't mention a caster level?
