So, I was interested in picking up a copy of Elves of Golarion. I clicked over to Amazon, only to find that the lowest asking price for a used copy appears to be $900.00. I'm not sure who in their right mind would pay nine-hundred dollars for a small book about one specific race in a tabletop RPG. Just thought I would point this out. If this book is out of print, and if people think that charging this much for it is reasonable, it may be a smart idea for Paizo to start printing more of this book.

What people are advertising for and what people are paying are not the same.
Do a search on Ebay and see what you find. Try advanced searches for completed auctions to see what people are REALLY paying.
Edit: This seems more reasonable.
Google Shopping is also your friend.

I love it!! it happens quite often on amazon and other sites like that. I believe it is a automated system that some people use to price books. But on a side note I checked Ebay and other online rpg sellers and no one i checked had a copy of the book.

Sometimes this is the result of a poorly-behaved bot. Some used booksellers have programs that automatically post their inventory on Amazon, with instructions to underbid the existing cheapest one by some nominal amount, because that's easier than trying to figure out what any given book is worth (and is usually means your copy will sell sooner than the one that costs 50 cents more.)
When there is no other copy for sale (and the original is out of print, so Amazon isn't offering new copies at retail prices), these bots can 'guess' very high numbers because they have no reference point.
It doesn't mean anyone is actually willing to pay that price.

[sarcasm] $900! Wow, I'd better hold onto my copy; in a few years I'll be able to sell it and retire! [/sarcasm]
Seriously, though, I think it likely you can find a copy for a more reasonable price. Besides eBay, keep your eye on places like Noble Knight; they carry a good number of out-of-print materials.
