"Missing" Features

Advanced Race Guide Playtest

For things the document lacks that we'd like to see, or restrictions it has that we don't think it should.

Size:

Don't include the type restrictions. Ideally, there should be no type restrictions in the document (besides the fact that humanoids bigger than medium need the giant subtype).

Likewise for the size limits on quadruped. They don't make much sense.

Type & Subtype:

Ideally, include more and/or all of them from the monster manual, or at least include the prices of all the innate abilities individually so we can piece together the prices ourselves (even better).

My first goals when I saw the guide were:
Undead. Check
Monstrous Humanoid.
Non-Native Outsider. No.
Dragon. No (Say, for a Pseudodragon)
Magical Beast. No.
Fey. Yes.
Animal/Beast. No.

Specific Abilities I want to see the value of:
Fast Healing
Regeneration
Breath Weapons
Poison
More Specific Immunities, Resistances, and Reductions.
Flying.

Hmm.

Many of the missing features can be found in Upper Krust's Challenging Challenge Ratings, but its a bit dated, and not well organized. Using it to help this set of rules out though would be a big benefit.

I'm rather deluded about the dhampirs. I'd like to have some alternate racial traits:
-Enhancement on undead bloodline powers, death domain powers and bone mystery powers... if half-elementals have it, then why not the half-undead?
-Benefits and disadvantages of the bloodthirst mentioned in their description.

This may be outside the scope of this book; but I'd like to see templates: Both templates that adjust your Race Points, and Templates that Cost 0 Race Points.

Ideally, an acquired Template will cost -1 to 4 Race Points. That way I dont have to worry very much about if the 5th level character becomes a Vampire.

Oh!

Racial Advancements!
Some rules for Racial Levels would be nice, or how to spread out racial abilities as you go, or something, to try to keep the race in the same line of power as the other characters.

for specifics of what I'm talking about:
Arcana Evolved
Wow RPG
And this thread I made a few years back: I was attempting to make a playable vampire template.
http://www.enworld.org/forum/d-d-legacy-discussion/268688-playable-vampire- level-0-up.html
I think its better than the 3.5 one, but the class levels are a bit too powerful, due to too many ability adjustments. I need to go back and update it sometime using the knowledge I have now, but it illustrates the ideas I'm talking about.

What about Powerful Build? It's something that fits big races like half-giants or a pathfinder conversion of the goliath. So what if it's a bit strong? So are some of the traits that are handed with a rather small RP cost...

Heh. Lets not go the route of "these things are undercosted, so undercost this too!" I think we need to pick out the undercosted and overcosted abilities, and say so. Maybe even propose a big super-list with what we think the costs should be.

As for Powerful Build Specifically, I covered that on this thread, about sizes:
