Sphar vs. Jen the Gladiator.

FIGHT!

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Dundundundundundundun

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20: Initiative

Sitting astride her sexy horse, Jen prepares to face down her combatant.

What kind of terrains do we have? Arena, Forest, Mountainous, Plains?

I'll strike down forest.

*State your characters, and how they fight.*

Sphar is playing Shaderage, the greatsword-wielding barbarian.

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Jen the GM is playing Jen The Gunslinger Gladiator, the Gunslinger Gladiator that fights both using the musket and the lance.

Initiative:17+2=19

Growling menacingly,Shaderage prepares to slice his opponent clean in half.

-------------------------

Right now, let's just do a basic arena. How should we do battle maps? Hmm.....

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Uh, you might want to use the dice roller built into the forum. How to do it is described in the "how to format your text" spoiler.

Well, we don't strictly need a battle map. We could just keep track of things in relation to each other. I suppose that we should start around 30 feet apart?

Good with that?

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 Initiative

I am fine with that.

You win initiative,so go ahead and go.

We start 30 feet apart from each other in a straight line,I'm guessing with weapons drawn.

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Jen acts fast, leveling her musket towards Sphar's face and firing. Since it's within the first range increment, it targets touch AC.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 dealing 1d12 ⇒ 4 damage. Just as fast, she uses her grit to reload it almost instantly. Then she kicks the side of her horse (auto succeeds on ride check with the bonus she has on it), moving 100 feet away, leaving the two gladiators 130 feet apart.

Come and get me!

Shaderage charges towards his opponent with a howl of pure rage.

Runs at 3X his speed, putting them 40 feet apart.

He then hurls one of his daggers, taking a -6 penalty to attack because of range.

1d20 - 4 ⇒ (10) - 4 = 61d44 ⇒ 1

Shaderage is at 11 hp.

Female Human Gunslinger 1

I don't think you can actually do that, because run is a full round action. http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat#TOC-Run

Would you like to reconsider? There isn't a difference, since you missed with the dagger anyways, but if you'd like, you could do something else.

Silly me.

Alright then,he will simply run if it is alright with you.

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Yeah, that's fine.

Ahaha, foolish barbarian.

Since the barbarian happens to be just within the first range increment, the musket targets touch AC again! Not only that, running causes the barbarian to lose dexterity to AC unless he also has the run feat.

She fires and reloads again:

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 for 1d12 ⇒ 8 damage. Then she kicks her horse into a gallop, putting her 80 feet to the right of the Barbarian, at the edge of the arena (I'll just say it's the edge, since the arena probably isn't super huge)

(I'm dead,xD.)

Shaderage,at 3 hp,surrenders, knowing his foe will always outrun him.He gestures angrily, and then takes a knee on the ground.

He yells,"Do with me as you wish! Finish the fight,or leave this arena a coward!"

Why,yes,he is a hypocrite.

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Yippee!

Jen takes a victory lap around the stadium.

(You were in charging distance though. And if you're not wearing medium armor or heavier, you could've run 4x your speed, which would've caught up with me)

I was in charging distance? :3

Anyways, rematch? I'll bring a mounted warrior of my own.

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Sure. For today, I'll be around for the next fifty minutes maybe?

Cool.ok.Let's keep using this thread.Same rules, except we start at 50 feet.

*Here enters*

QUINN

the valiant fighter mounted atop his trusty horse.Strapped across his back is a horse.

[spoiler=Quinn]
Str 19
Dex 14
Con 14
Int 9
Wis 12
Cha 7

Archetype:Dragoon
Feats:Skill Focus(Ride),Mounted Combat,Ride-By-Attack,Spirited Charge

AC:17(As Shaderage)
Fort:+4
Ref:+2
Will:+1

Attacks:Lance(+5,1d8+6)/Lance(Charge)(+7,3d8+18)
Gear:Lance,Scale,Light Combat Horse

Correct me if any of this is wrong...or if I'm just using a sadly broken build.

Scratch that,I'll play a Gendarme cavalier(Free mount)

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Jen enters the arena, confident from her previous victory. This time, she has a little something up her sleeve...

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21: Initiative

We're still fighting, yes?

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 : Initiative

Indeed we are.

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Jen notches a tangleshot arrow on her composite longbow and fires a ranged touch attack against the Gerdarme's horse.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

It misses. Then she flees, prodding her horse into a run, going 200 feet to the right, leaving 250 feet between the two.

Quinn prods his horse into a run as well, leaving 50 feet between the two. Then,as a swift action,he calls out a challenge to Jen. "Stop fleeing and fight, coward!"

+1 Attack and damage vs you (Order of the Sword)

Female Human Gunslinger 1

You're the coward!

Jen tries again with the tangleshot.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

The horse gets a -2 to attack rolls and -4 to dexterity, and now must make a DC 10 reflex save (Remember the -4 from dex) or be glued to the floor. Even if it saves, it only moves at half speed.

Then she spurs her horse to a run the other way, ending up 150 feet to your left.

Mwahahahahahaha

Quinn roars in frustration.

"You fight with no honor,coward!"

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

The horse pulls free, and Quinn urges his horse towards the Gunslinging Gladiator.

Runs at 5X speed, coming up to 25 feet away.

Quinn then tries to quickly dismount his horse and charge.

Fast Dismount:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Attack:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 242d8 + 14 ⇒ (2, 2) + 14 = 18

1d20+3

The horse

You still have your turn. :P

Just wanted to see the results of that.Anyways, failing to dismount quickly enough,he instead runs toward you,and ends up 5 feet away.

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Aha, a cavalier without a horse is like a gunslinger without a gun!

Drawing her musket, she fires point blank at the poor guy, targetting touch AC and quickly reloads.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 for 1d12 ⇒ 3

Then she spurs her horse again, fleeing 200 feet to the right of the running fella.

Keep in mind that a calvalier with medium armor has a movement speed of only 20 feet. Also, you can click preview to see the results of your dice roll.

Oh,alright. And If i'm 25 feet away from you, running 20 feet should put me right next to you, thus provoking an AoO if you move away(right?)

AoO:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 251d8 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

He then calls his horse over to him(taking the horses move),and mounts, taking his own move. The horse then tries(poorly) to walk towards the other combatant, ending up 175 feet away.As a standard action,Quinn cries.

xD,this sucks.

Female Human Gunslinger 1

We can go with that. In the future, use preview to see the result of your dice roll, so you don't edit your posts.

My post was in response to the thing where you were 25 feet away, so I didn't even know that you were close enough. But I will go along with it.

Jen pulls out her composite longbow and fires at you with the tangleshot bag, targetting your touch AC.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Then her horse goes even farther away, up to 375 feet to your right.

ARGG surrender,I have to go eat anyways.Good match

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Good match. Also, you know that you had a chance for a crit there. :P

Female Human Fighter 1

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6:Initiative

Thirty feet apart, I guess?

Sorry, was AFK.Thirty feet apart is fine.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

Female Human Fighter 1

Okay, your go.

Arden, the mighty ranger, pulls out his bow and fires a single powerful shot at Jen the Archer.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 101d8 ⇒ 5

Seeing his shot miss,he drops his bow, quickly pulls out a longsword and shield with Quickdraw, and closes in the distance between him and Jen.

Female Human Fighter 1

Jen takes a five foot step backwards, then shoots two shots right at Arden, point blank. She aims for his weak points. (Deadly aim)

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Jen feels sad that her arrows missed.

Shaderage moves up with a 5 foot step, and tries for a single powerful blow(Power Attack).

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 91d8 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

He oversteps, however, and falls back, shield at the ready.

Female Human Fighter 1

Jen steps back 5 feet and fires two arrows point blank again, hoping for a hit.

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Damage for those:

1d8 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
1d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Nice, thirteen damage.

That will put me at 0.In one last desperate attempt,Arden pulls out a dagger and feebly throws it at Jen.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 101d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

"Spare me if you wish..." Arden mutters before he slumps to the ground.

Female Human Fighter 1

Huzzah!

Jen punches the helpless person in the face, knocking him out cold.

Lol,alright.Rematch?

Female Human Fighter 1

Sure.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6: Initiative

Awesome;this is going to be a new char.30 feet apart again?

Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Female Human Fighter 1

Yeah. Could you describe your character's look and equipment?

A scarred warrior enters the battlefield with a greatsword slung across his hide chestpiece. He growls at you menacingly.

Can you describe your equipment/look? :P

Female Human Fighter 1

Jen is an archer with a breastplate, composite longbow, and a greatsword. She notches two tangleshots, targetting touch AC. If either one of them hits, you are entangled. This means that you get -2 to all attack rolls, -4 to dexterity, and you cannot run or charge.

Additionally, make a DC 10 Reflex save or be stuck to the ground.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
