Back in 3.5 I tried to play a mounted fighter and it didn't work out very well. Don't get me wrong, I still love the character, its just I only got to actually use my mounted combat stuff like two or three times the entire 2 or so years I played the character. The mount was always just too hard to get around in dungeons and such.
So we're starting some new characters this Saturday and I was reading through some old forum posts to get some idea's and I ran across some stuff about “small” race mounted characters with “medium” sized mounts and how their viable for use inside a dungeon? It really sounds like a lot of fun. Anyways, I could really use help getting the character done before this weekend, work and school permitting I'll get to actually play.
I want to play a mounted gnome paladin with a lance and stuff. I really want to make use of the mounted combat feats. We can use the Core Rulebook, APG, Ucombat, Umagic for sure. Any other pathfinder material I could possibly get approved but our GM doesn't really like it too much (no non-pathfinder stuff at all). Also we're starting at level 3 with the 25pt stat buy. No magic items to begin with. A run down through the first ten or so levels would be great, maybe some idea's of what feats I should be shooting for after I get the important mounted stuff down? Honestly any help would be greatly appreciated. I want a good idea of what I'm getting myself into.
