Tengu twf with saw tooth saber?

Rules Questions

I was consider making a tengu ninja for our up coming jade reagent campaign. I was just wondering does the tengu sword training class feature include the saw tooth sabre, and if so does that automaticlly make it a light weapon for them?

Seeing as they have proficiency in all sword-like weapons, I would say yes.

As to whether it is treated as light: If that feature is based on proficiency, than yes, tengu get that too.

awesome here comes the back stabbing crit machine lol.

Remember the Sawtooth Saber counts as light for two weapon fighting, not light in general.

That's actually a benefit in many cases. For example, you can wield one sword in two hands to get x1.5 strength if you needed.

I thought anyone can use a sawtooth saber as a martial weapon however to use it TWF as a light weapon you must have the exotic weapon proficiency?

if you have proficiency, you have proficiency.

you can take the feat Exotic Weapon Proficiency when you don't have proficiency.

sort of like a bard gains Whip proficiency. and doesn't need to spend a feat to do nifty stuff with it.

Anyone can use it as a martial weapon, in which case it has the stats of a longsword.
