Combat Manouvers and Second Attacks

I just wanna clear this doubt...

a lvl 6 fighter chooses to use his low BA before his HIGH BA attack (i believe there should not be an issue with this)...

he decides to use a Trip Manouver instead of the melee attack...

in his CMB check he uses a BA of 1 or 6???

I'm actually not sure you can change the order of your iterative attacks (and I'm not going to bother looking it up at the moment), but as for the actual question...

Combat maneuvers are subject to whatever penalties you would otherwise have to an attack (such as a -5 due to iterative, if you're replacing your iterative attack with a combat maneuver).

EDIT:

If you get multiple attacks because your base attack bonus is high enough, you must make the attacks in order from highest bonus to lowest.

1.

You use the BAB for the attack when doing a combat maneuver as an attack, thus a +25 "base" CMB would be +25/+20/+15 with a level 11 character attempting three trips.
