So I'm trying to figure the price of an unlimited use item. The Formula says Caster level x Spell Level x 2000, Plus the special thing because it's unlimited you have to divide by 5 divided by 100 which is .05
So in the end, the formula for an unlimited use/continuous cantrip is 1 x .5 x 2000 / .05 Which equals 20,000.
My question is am I doing this right? I thought I was until I saw the lantern of revealing they give as an example. I did the math for that as well. It's a level 3 Cleric Spell 3 x 5 x 2000 / .05 equals 600,000. The Price of the actual lantern of revealing out of the book is 30,000, a step before dividing by .5, now my question is this.
If I'm wrong why does it say at the bottom of the magic item creation table
If item is continuous or unlimited, not charged, determine cost as if it had 100 charges. If it has some daily limit, determine as if it had 50 charges.
Why even include that?

The 100 charge thing, if you look at the superscript and where it's placed on the table, is for a spell with costly material components. Like, say, raise dead, or stoneskin. For a use activated or continuously-on item of a spell effect, it's (spell level*caster level*2k)*4 if the spell's duration is measured in rounds, 2 if the duration is 1 minute/level, 1.5 if the duration is 10 minutes/level, or 0.5 if the duration is 24 hours or longer.

You only do the division thing (5 divided by the number of charges per day) if the item has a daily limit on use. If there is no daily limit on its use, you don't divide.
The formula for an umlimited use cantrip is 1 x 0.5 x 2000, or 1000 gold. If the item is a continuous item (functions all the time without needing to be activated), then there is the multiplier based on duration. Note that a use-activated item does not have this additional multiplier.
If item is continuous or unlimited, not charged, determine cost as if it had 100 charges. If it has some daily limit, determine as if it had 50 charges.
That is only for items that duplicate spells with costly material components.

I knew there was something I forgot in there, lol. Yeah, multiplier is only for always on stuff, not use activated.

No no! You're still missing it!
That special "100 charges" thing is an additional fee for spells that have a costly material component, say a spell that requires 500 gold pearl or something. In which case, if you make an unlimited use item with that spell, you have to add a 'materials cost' of 100 times the material is normally (so for this example, a hundred 500 gp worth of pearls, equaling 50,000 gold)
To reiterate, that 100 is multiplied by the cost of the material (for casting the spell) and added to the item's cost. It is not multiplied to the cost of the item.
---
All command word or use activated items are unlimited use by default. You can save some money by making them charges per day.
Since I can't think of a cantrip with an expensive material, that material fee is always going to be +0gp to the cost (100 x 0). So you can make command word activated cantrip magic item for a base price of 900 gp (1800 x .5SL x 1 CL) or make it use activated for 1000 gp (2000 x .5SL x 1CL). If you want it to be always on it depends how long the cantrip lasts normally.

Yeah, I mentioned that part in my previous post though, just had missed the duration-based multiplier only being on continuous, not use-activated items. >_> <_<

Oh gotcha. Misread on my part. Thought you were talking charges from your quote, not duration of the spell for some reason-
