Reincarnate & racial traits

Rules Questions

If an elf is reincarnated as a human exactly what racial traits will he lose / gain?

Will he lose ALL elven racial traits (like special weapon profiencies, elven immunities, elven magic etc.) or only the ones directly tied to the body (low light vision) -?

Will he get the human racial traits (extra feat / skill points)?

Grand Lodge

He doesn't lose any feats (including weapon proficiencies) nor skills (including languages), so I don't think he gains any either. He loses low-light vision, elven immunities, elven magic and keen senses.

So there is no clear ruling for this anywhere?

The most basic and balanced houserule I've found to address this is to simply rebuild the character as a member of the new race. Sure, some feats, skills, and languages will change, but a reincarnated character doesn't need to be 100% the same as before - this is a new life.

The way my DM ruled it is that anything that requires training doesn't pass over. I recent;y had my lvl 5 Half-Orc barbarian take a full attack from a CR 14 Orc Fighter, got beat into the ground so hard he came back as a Dwarf. DM said that I could have everything but the Defensive Training because I had never been trained. Then we went and fought a bunch of giants... :(
