Bloodline powers vs. feats / spells

Rules Questions

Hi there,

if I have Fighter 1 / Sorcerer 4 / DD 3, do I get as bonus spells mage armor (3rd) or resist energy (5th) and fly (7th) too?

How many bloodline feats do I get one bloodline feat (DD 2nd) or two (Sorc 7)?

Many thanks in advance!

You get additional bonus spells from the draconic bloodline as soon as you have appropriate spell slots to cast them. Since you're effectively a 6th level sorcerer, you have 1st, 2nd and 3rd level spell slots, so you get resist energy at Dragon Disciple 1 (you already had a 2nd level spell slot and gained Blood of Dragons, which gives you any bloodline bonus spells due for 2nd level) and fly at DD 3 (when you get 3rd level spells).

You get bloodline feats from dragon disciple (DD 2) but not from your effective sorcerer levels.

1) The character gains all three bonus spells.

Core Rulebook pg. 381 wrote:
Blood of Dragons: A dragon disciple adds his level to his sorcerer levels when determining the powers gained from the bloodline... This ability does not grant bonus spells to a sorcerer unless he possesses spell slots of an appropriate level. Such bonus spells are automatically granted if the sorcerer gains spell slots of the spell's level.

For purposes of bonus spells and bloodline powers, a fighter 1/sorcerer 4/dragon disciple 3 is effectively a 7th level sorcerer; in addition to the bonus spells, the Claws (and probably the dragon disciple Bite) are considered magic for overcoming DR and do 1d6 damage. The character has the spells per day/spells known of a 6th level sorcerer: 6 1st, 5 2nd, 3 3rd spell slots (plus bonuses for Cha) and 7 0, 4 1st, 2 2nd, 1 3rd known (plus bloodline bonuses).

2) Bonus feats are not included in the Blood of Dragons ability, so you only gain the bonus bloodline feat for dragon disciple 2.

Thank you!
