Stone Fist + Monk Unarmed Damage

I'm considering dipping 1 level of Druid (Frog Domain) to get the Sticky Strike ability. Being able to cast Magic Fang on myself would be a nice bonus, but what about Stone Fist?

DESCRIPTION

This spell transforms your hands into living stone. While this spell is in effect, your unarmed strikes do not provoke attacks of opportunity and deal 1d6 points of lethal bludgeoning damage (1d4 if you are Small). In addition, your unarmed strikes ignore the hardness of any object with a hardness less than 8.

Does the 1st level Druid Spell "Stone Fist" stack with a Monk's Unarmed Damage? Would I retain my Monk Unarmed Damage, or would my unarmed damage now be 1d6?

Being able to ignore hardness would be a nice addition to sunder attempts.

Hmm...interesting question. Personally I'd say whenever there's two potential damage amounts for a weapon/attack, take the higher of the two. So a monk would use his/her unarmed damage. Basically, the only benifit a monk would get from the spell would be the aid in sudering. Won't help much against most blades (since they're hardness 10), but weapons made mostly from wood (hafted weapons, like polearms, quarterstaves, and others with long wooden segements) would be far game, as would a tower shield. Heh, falcon punching through a tower shield, now that's a monk thing to do.

i have a similar situation i am using raging brawler and the monks robe

the monks robe will give me 1d8 unarmed
the brawler gives me 1d6

they dont stack i get 1d8 with the robe

keep in mind that a monk's unarmed attacks are NOT necessarily his/her hands. They include the head, elbows, feet ect.

This being the case I would say that the stone fist spell simply turns your hands into a 1d6 (1d4 small) weapon and if you use them to strike they do whatever damage the smell says they do. Much like if a monk decided to wear punching dagger or a gauntlet, his damage would be whatever the weapon damage is.
