Double damage on a non-mounted charge?

Rules Questions

Liberty's Edge

Does anyone know if there is a cavalier ability or perhaps a feat that allows a character to do double damage on a non-mounted charge, regardless of the weapon used? I don’t see one anywhere, but haven’t checked every last archetype or sourcebook.

I have a player in my game who claims that there is one. This is someone who often plays fast and loose with the rules, so I want to double check the facts before saying anything.

He's probably thinking of a couple of feats from 3.5 that iirc increase your dice damage on a charge (non-mounted) from memory they either doubled dice or added 1d10 dmg on a charge.

Currently you can't improve charging damage in PF however if you want to houserule the vital strike FAQ then you can provide him a way to do it.

Currently FAQ rules you can't vital strike with a charge but you could simply houserule that he can.

Vital Strike would then provide him with a way to double or triple his damage dice at the end of a charge.

and don't worry its not a particularly strong option, just be aware vital strike dosen't combine with anything else of note unless you house rule it.

Okay, thank you. I looked some more and I think he's just

misinterpreting the Cavalier ability that gives you +4 to-hit
and -0 AC when charging. The +4 part is double the normal
+2 and he wants that to apply to damage as well.

Next step will be to try to figure out why he is saying that
Cavaliers get Leadership as a bonus feat. ;)

he may also be looking at specific weapon rules like a lance that doubles its dice on a charge

There is the Valorous Weapon Ability (+1 cost) which doubles your damage on a charge. (Unapproachable East, Forgotten Realms Setting),

which doubles damage on a charge.

There is also the Rhino Rush spell in the Spell Compendium, called Righteous fury in the Miniatures Handbook, with a casting time of a swift action it doubles your damage on a charge for one round.

Pounce has the potential to double or even triple your damage on a charge.

Pounce is not the easiest ability to get your hands on.

Easier then any other ability to get double damage on a non-mounted charge (cause I don't know of any other ways).
