In the description for the Silvanshee it is mentioned that a caster with the Improved Familiar feat may have a Silvanshee as a familiar as long as they meet the "proper requirements", but the "proper requirements are never listed. There are other creatures which have a similar statement in Bestiary 2. I am hoping someone from Paizo can specify what these requirements might be.

I would prefer to see the rules laid out by the publisher. It feels like some designer put a #TODO tag on the description and forgot to come back and finish the work. I could compare the power level of the familiar with other familiar options, but rules such as this should be laid out by the designer in my opinion.

I'm not sure how you are seeing this thread as unanswered. Necromancer answered it with a link to the d20pfsrd. When Nipin complained that it wasn't "official", I linked him to the Paizo PRD.
He wasn't asking about the creature's CR, but what level and alignment restrictions are placed on taking it as an improved familiar. Both links provided say "Level 7, Neutral Good".
