Buffs, Buffs, Buffs!

Okay so what would you guys say are the best BUFFS!! For a sorc to cast on his/her team... I'm looking for the coolest/best buffs and combo buffs. Also good mass buffs that I can hit the whole party with if they exist ( I play a lot of DDO )... My favorites are:

Rage

Heroism

Haste

Blur

Also thinking maybe Enlarge Person for our grappler!

P.S. Our DM makes us vote at the end of each night who we thought was the best player of the night and drops SWEET bonuses on whoever gets the most votes.. Like 1d4 hp permanent or +1 initiative permanent or +1 skill permanent. SO IM TRYING TO GET FAVORITISM HERE!

Haste,Animal growth(sad that it's only one person),Fly, Invisibility, Enlarge person mass, Polymorph, Heroism, and Rage.

Also remember slow and grease are nice to have. Grease will help give extra attacks for your melee guys and slow will just gimp enemies. So bad that half of your party will be able to kite some of them.


Many people in the party making attack rolls? Everyone loves haste, especially if you keep reminding them of the +1 to hit and AC at the opportune time. :) That, plus movement bonus, plus extra attack on a full-attack, gives you plenty of ideal chances to remind the party how much you do for them.

NICE!! Totally forgot about grease and invisiblity. Those should give me some decent kudos.


Protection from evil, or circle of protection are GREAT! Even if the bonus to saves and AC don't stack with cloaks and rings, the protection from summoned creatures and domination are well worth it.

All of the ability enhancing spells are great.

Resist Energy/ Protection from Energy.

Anything that increases movement.


Anything that has a hour per level duration. Take extend spell and at 12th level it's up 24/7. A few are even group buffs, and that's great.


Haste 1st round
screech 2nd round
pick up the treasure on 3rd round

Scarab Sages

For Sorcerer spells....

Blur ain't bad.
Bull's Strength and Cat's Grace can be useful, along with their mass versions.
Agree with Rage and Heroism (also Greater Heroism).
Contingency can be really useful.
Mindblank at higher levels.
