Yea, everyone across the river. I tried not to railroad you but wanted you to have more of a challenge than just ... we cross the river ...
I quite enjoyed it, although it would have been better on a table.
Hope it was OK for you too?

Yeah, just like real life. Sometimes you have to try a few different things before you can solve the problem. Though, it didnt' help I think I missed a few clues in the description and got myself confused.
Apologies if my last game post seemed curt, it was just I haven't had much free time to post the last few days and didn't want to hold up the game for everybody with Crar and his pony problems, so wanted to make sure I covered all the bases. Game on!

CH, you'll have to check that a hide shirt and darkleaf cloth is compatible with PFS play, just in case its not allowed.

Will post in the game thread tomorrow

My computer motherboard has gone to that great motherboard in the sky.
Thus I may or may not have access to a computer that will allow me to post.
It will probably be best if I say we'll start up again on Monday, that way we'll all know where we are. So I won't be posting again until Monday, you can still chat amongst yourselves etc.

Sorry to hear about that Deevor! Hope it can be replaced without bother.
Does anyone have any advice for starting up a Pathfinder society group? Been trying to meet up with gamers in the area and there is some interest in Pathfinder but probably not in any long ongoing campaigns. I'm also interested whether the local library where I work could provide a venue. Does anyone have any face to face society groups on the go at the moment?

I found a group in Southampton that play at someone's house in the evening. Normally we take 2 sessions to get through a scenario.
As for the machine move, well that's a bit more complicated than normal, cos I normally use a machine from work, but there's been changes which make it more awkward. But hey, that's life, we'll get on with it.

Sorry - I should have posted here that I would be away for the weekend - but didn't bother as the GM was at Crispy Con as well. It was hectic to get everything sorted last minute - and I admit I got sidetracked in some heated general discussions on the PFS boards.
The posting in the next days will be slow. We had a car accident on the way to Crispy Con. Luckily nobody hurt and we still made it with a few hours delay and missing the social at the evening before.
But the car is a likely write-off and I will have to get a few bits sorted out quickly now. Like a replacement and financing.
Having my own business and most money invested there complicates it. I need to check out if the new car should be a company car or not.

Sorry I've been absent since CrispyCon, but came back with a right stinker, as they say, which has laid me out this week and I've slowly been getting the next post ready.
CrispyCon was great, though deadly for some, as we heard of one table where only one survived.... Fortunately nothing like that happened on our table, although the whole party was at one time paralyzed and at the mercy of some ghasts (I think). We managed to get out of that with no deaths, very touch and go, I thought we were a gonna.
Another game had us rolling in the aisles with laughter, but I won't say more in case you get to play the scenario.
We had a whole convention game, which included an auction for a rare artifact and was fun to do and DM, despite feeling rough with the man 'flu thing. I could have DMed it so much better without a fuzzy head.
Met Thod, but didn't have the pleasure of playing with him or any of his family. For the Cons I'm at, I'm becoming Thod's roadie, carting his dwarven forge stuff in and out. We used it on a couple of games and so thanks for everything you did to help the Con Thod, hope you can get the car situation sorted quickly.
I'm planning to move the game on tomorrow, once more thanks for your patience.

Just thinking ahead, is everyone happy to continue with Nevis Lodge after we finish the First Steps trilogy? Any volunteers to GM the next scenario? I enjoy playing Crar in the games, but if no one else cares to GM I can do so again if you like.
Any requests in terms of scenarios, or ones to avoid as people have played them?
I've enjoyed playing through this series with you all, and have enjoyed playing on both sides of the GM screen, it's nice that with the scenarios we've had that option.

I'm a bit slow at the moment, preparing to DM a game on Saturday, taking more attention. Well that and Christmas. Should get you into town tonight.
No problem DMing, if you want to run a scenario I've been in next, if not I'd like to have Kernsten back. Very happy to DM the game after, so alternating DMing is fine.
I'll put up a doc with the games I've played in PFS later.

Had a look at Roll20. Pretty amazing, looks like fun to try but time consuming?
I was having a look at the PFS scenarios and I'm not sure if this is how it works, but here is a list of modules I was considering. Let me know if you have played any of these already; if there is one no one has run through yet, I could run that one if you like. Or, if we can't get a group consensus, perhaps someone would be willing to GM one of the scenarios they've already played in?
3-05 Tide of Twilight
3-18 The God's Market Gamble
3-19 The Icebound Outpost
4-01 Rise of the Goblin Guild
#47 Severing Ties
#5 Mists of Mwangi
Been enjoying this last scenario, though obviously my wilderness-loving druid has a lot to learn. Roll on 2nd level!

Hello all, got an invite from John to check things out. I have a couple of PFS characters and would welcome an opportunity to join up for a scenario. If it's a good fit, I would be open to GMing when my turn came up.
Crazy, I've actually already played Mists of Mwangi and would actually be willing to GM that one as my initiating to the group.
My style is pretty straight up. The only rule I hand waive are the encumbrance by weight, unless someone is way over the weight limit (Like 100lbs). I would most likely use ditzie for maps.

Been busy will post soon ... I'll blame RL DMing and Christmas ...
I'm pretty busy this week too, what with Xmas dinners and the like.

Spreadsheet of the scenarios we've played., so we can easily see what we can play. If you have played a scenario, add yes into the correct column, if you are willing to DM a scenario, then enter DM in the correct column. Hope this helps use sort out what we can play easily.
If you have played a module in PFS, you have the cert etc, then add it to the modules sheet. If you want to DM a module, then I think we should discuss it in the discussion thread.
Any problems let me know.

Good idea. But I can't edit the spreadsheet.

Damn, you might have to have a google account to do that?
I'll try and look tomorrow, its getting a bit busy for the next couple of days. The run up to Christmas and all.

I had a look as well. It didn't seem to work for me either. I agree with Lillia and Nostrus, no rush as we are still finishing the current scenario, just thought I'd raise the question so that whoever is running the next game has time to purchase it and prepare.
BTW welcome to N N 959. Thanks for the offer to play Mists of Mwangi, sounds like some have played that already, but we'll find something. :)

Just curious, I've had a few people approach me about starting up a Skull & Shackles PbP game. Would anyone on this thread be interested in joining? I'm looking for a party of 6 so on the lookout for a couple more players, and thought to bypass the public recruitment. I should have the threads up for the game soon with character creation details, if you want to play just let me know.

Hey Deevor, sounds great. I'll be in touch soon once I can get the game threads up. In the meantime, what type of character do you think you'd like to play? I already have someone who has created a bard, and another player I think is set on a rogue.
I think this AP will be a challenge to run PbP, from what I hear, especially in the beginning. I might tweak it a bit to run more smoothly in PbP format, we'll see.

With Thod away at conception, we have 3 choices,
a) wait for Latharel's return, probably next Monday
b) I bot Latharel
c) I assume Latheral is out of action for 2 rounds.
Your choice guys.

I'm back. I had planned to purchase some WiFi there - but I couldn't get reception at my table. I had to move 5 meter through the next door to get into range - so I was cut off.
Conception was great. I GMed a total of 7 slots - Cyphermage *2, Thornkeep Accursed Halls and Fogotten Laboratory (2 slot events) and I finished with Dawn of the Crimson Sun on Sunday.
Time to storm a certain mountain top resort and place a European flag up there.
I also played 3 slots - one with my son, two on Thursday before they arrived.

I will get the certs ready and sent in the next 10 days, this weekend I'm working at a beer festival... (hic!) ... we can play the return to dreng in that time if you want? If not I'll write another post to round it off.
Congrats, you all make 2nd level.
