how long dose this spell last?
the Duration instantaneous in the pathfinder reference doc is this a typo?
the doc

no typo I believe, instantaneous means that it changes something and then the spell disappears.
It does not change back when the spell ends.
This is the difference between instantaneous and permanent, permanent spells can later be dispelled, and found out by detect magic and such.
There is a whole Paizo Blog about awaken, altough the main point is not the spell duration but how it works.
