PC Notecards

Advice

Am a somewhat 'noob' DM and have started using notecards to track initiative, conditions on players, etc.

So I have a notecard, with each of my player's character's name on it, and any conditions that are currently affecting them.

What information, layout, use, etc. do some of you other DMs that use notecards have?

Any suggestions along these lines would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It's good that you started using notecards for that kind of stuff.

Another thing that's nice to have is a list of all the skills that you might have to roll for them.. Like perception ect. when an enemy is sneaking on them. Having separate cards for each player will help keep certain things a mystery instead of asking the player for their "perception" modifier ect....

Lots of DMs keep PC stuff on notecards and then put them in order each time a new initiative begins -- of course, making the same notecards for monsters is smart, too, so one can put those cards amongst the PCs for initiative.

I think the best things for PCs are Name, HP, AC, Saves and full attack & damage or most common spells (8 rounds worth).

I think the best thing for the monsters are monster, HP, AC, Saves, Movement, CMB & CMD, SR / DR / Resistances, full attack and damage or biggest & most usefull spells (6rds worth) including the basic stats for what each spell does, and any Feats, EX or SU not already added in to other stuff that the monster could use in a fight.
