Fun with Shrunk Items

Advice

Take all your junk weapons Fabricate the metal into SpikeBalls with serated edges on the spikes make them as to fill a ten ft.cube.

Throw into the square next to your foe and Poof! your DM has to make chosies so run this by her before hand for less bricks in the pants subsuquently falling on your head.

I like this solution, Poof! for makes a Reflex save vs a third lvl spell of your charaters DC and takes 5d6 percing/slashing damage and is moved 5ft. away.

THoughts?

I got one.

How to kill enemies with an anti-magic shell:

Cast reduction spells on a boulder so that it can be thrown or launched with a sling. Hurl the object over the baddy's head and when it hits the shell, it reverts into a deadly - auto smashing stone. Ha.

not really the spell shrink item but:
baleful polymorph an elephant into a cockroach: dare someone to eat the living cockroach, when cockroach dies trough stomach acide, see a dead elephant materialising inside person. Person dead.

AWESOME!!!

Or you could Shrink Item the mud from Stone to Mud spell throw that above Your antimagic shelled foe and sufficate him.

I like the idea of making forts and castles By using the 1/16 sized replicas and conecting them like an erector set.
Then pop Dispell Magic and big A fort where you need it.

the tried and true way to get the bad guy to talk method used by our wizard.

shrink large rock to small pebble.
force shrunken rock into bad guy mouth.
count to 3.

Allow me to refer you to this lovely thread on creative spell use, including shrink item with projectiles.

Yes cool link but spiraling out off topic sadly.

I like to have a barracade of spears set to receave charge shrunk and waiting held action to pop it large and bag a fighter type.

Grand Lodge

* medium camp fire shrunk, then start fire somewhere else with certainty.
* un-shrink your long staff/pole (DBZ style) and jump over enemies/push them back
* big boulder (again) but to block a cave entrance/tunnel

all those were used in-game. not live-savers but fun nontheless.

Good stuff so far!
How about putting Shrunk liquids IE Alchemists fire or acid into a narrow necked bottle (reenforced/made of strong matierials) and spray foes down?

So if that works you could make Harpoon seringes to stick in wounds and pump toxic firy doom into your foes fleash.

If you can shrink a big spear down to a crossbow bolt.

How about a giant pole shrunk down to a ballista bolt/

My Mystic Theurge made it a point to travel with a 20' yurt with full furnishings.

"Inn? Why would I pay money to make myself that uncomfortable?"

Because of conservation of energy a physics law of some such.
The energy needed to push the giant pole is not there only enough to push a crossbow bolt and in DnD spent ammo falls off the victem or at least none encumbering.

So we need somthing that by the rules will stay in the victem and harpoons are the only weapon I know of to do that.

So heres an idea touch attack with a Tanglefoot bag and a Shrunk Boulder and wiegh down our foe to helplessness.

well you dont unshrink it untill it hits. after that they have bolt sticking out so you then remove shrink and they shoudl take some damage.

I think it should at least up the damage done to the foe.

So I came up with Steam Bombs (as far as I Know) Metal spheres Partaly filled with water sealed And a simple preasure guage too tell when it is about to blow.
A nice hot fire to keep it boiling SHirnk it and toss it where you want to.
So what kind of damage should it do?
5d6 or more asyou advance in levels and can Shrink more and more.

with a ring of minor spell storing you can transfer control of any of these ideas to another party member.

How about preshaped 'U' sheet of broken glass and caltrops And slow down most attackers.

Shrink big boxes and jump on the them to get out of reach form melee attackers.

The out-of-combat usages are much more fun. There's a lot of social fun to be had by sinking down 40 kilos (80 lbs) of dung to 10 grams of dung. Leave in a fitting location, and whoops. Hard to get those stains out.

The same could be done with blood for a more gruesome effect, or oil for a more dangerous one.

Your right you could walk around invisable a foes villiage or town stuffing the thatched roofs with bonfires and oil Then zap the town at range with Dispell Magic and wip out there power base in a day or night.

I'll give you one that sort of qualifies.

My buddy and I are a Hurler Barbarian and an Arcane Bloodline Sorcerer respectively. After toasting a Druid with Disentegrate and Baleful Polymorphing her animal companion (a bear) into a harmless bunny, our party came across several Deurgar that desperately wanted to bash our faces in for trespassing in their home.

I won initiative, so I immediately delayed my action so that I would move at the same time as my barbarian friend and wrote my plan on a note card to him, his grin eclipsing his face almost instantly. On his turn, I took a 5-ft. step so I would be next to him and handed him my bunny rabbit as a Move Action. He hurled the bunny at the Deurgar, and as the bunny flew at its marks, I used the Trueform spell to revert the bunny back into a bear. Great fun was had as we not only surpassed his class's limitations (for his level and size, the hurler would have only been able to throw a maximum of a Medium-sized object. However, the now-Large bear WAS Tiny when it was thrown ...), but we also got to watch the Deurgar / Animal Companion fight for their lives against each other.

Ultimately, we realized that I could use the Shrink Object spell to turn objects and then hand them to the Barbarian, who in turn could speak the command word and hurl them at our foes, again allowing him to break the Hurler rage power's normal restrictions on thrown object size. Fun times, fun times.

So if I Shrink a big ballon of air put the replica or cloth in a metal tube with one end sealed did i just make an air cannon?
