My player now has a level 4 druid. We are using pcgen to keep track of his character.
He has a animal companion but for some reason pcgen keeps making his companion a druid. How can we level his companion and make it the companion class?

My player now has a level 4 druid. We are using pcgen to keep track of his character.
He has a animal companion but for some reason pcgen keeps making his companion a druid. How can we level his companion and make it the companion class?
In the PCGen, In your character. Click the invetory tab --> You should see a Gear tab, equiptment Tab, Resources Tab. in Resources tab off to the far right you should see; Animal compainion, Mouth , and Follower. click on the Animal Compainion. Should see a list of animal compainion to choose from. Once to select the type of animal. The Pcgen will make a name to put a new creation(animal Compainion) and a tab down below next to your character name of the druid. all you have to do click on the +1 level of animal in the summary tab, that will add a next increase of the animal.
PS make sure every time you load your character in the resources tab the far right you should see a botton show load animal(if you already had made the animal that was saved.
Summary:
Load main character:
Inventory tab ---> resources tab (click animal compainion word off to the far right corner)
or already made ---> click the botten word load animal
in the animal summary tab click +1 level of animal type.
do not click on class leave it.

You will also get wonky results if you create it before hand and try to link it as a animal companion to the master character. Use the above instructions on how to make a animal companion from the resources tab.
