Okay guize, first time posting, so be gentle okay? (this post will be long) XD
I've never played 3.5, and jumped straight into pathfinder, but my DnD(?) group uses alot of 3.5 sourcebooks to augment the player experience and make well, hilarious characters. Currently i'm playing an alchemist class i would appreciate some comments on how to well, make this class shine.
I decided to go for a strength/mutagen alchemist build so hm, this is what i have so far...
Orc as race, so +4 to str, -2 to all mental stats
Stats were roll 4d6 drop lowest, i got lucky and so my stats are like.
22 str
10 dex
16 con
16 int
7 cha
12 wis
My planned build is something along the lines of 1 barbarian (hurler)/7 alchemist(vivisectionist)/10 master chymist/ 2 warshaper (subject to further approval, failing which i'll just fill it with 2 lvls of alchemist or barbarian)
basically, i'm trying to maximize the strength score of my character (my teammate's recommendation), to make some sort of gigantic bruiser (think ork warboss for those familiar with the warhammer universe) So far i have this as an endpoint for the str stat
22 str + 4 from stat growth (1 point goes to other stat, probably cha) + 8 from grand mutagen + 2 from growth mutagen + 4 when raging + 4 enhancement bonus from warshaper (not sure if i can qualify) + 4 from bull strength (extract) +6 str item (assuming i get access)
While it assumes alot... thats 48 str for 7 rounds a day, (in rage, minus item) coupled with grand mutagen, feral mutagen, growth mutagen (both natural weapons increased to large), morphic weapon (claw weapon increased to huge), furious mutagen (claw weapon increased to gargantuan and bite increased to huge)...
Issue is, can i get some hint of which of the str enhancements dont stack with each other? Some help would be appreciated hurhur

Bonuses of the same type don't stack. You have to look at each source for a given type. For example, I'm pretty sure the bull's strength spell is an enhancement bonus, so it wouldn't normally stack with warshaper.
Hmm, but the warshaper's bonus isnt an enhancement bonus... the item's bonus is though... so i guess no point taking bull str after i get the belt of giant's strength...

If you want to keep it straight pathfinder:
Alchemist 1 / barbarian 1/ Bard (or whatever spontaneous you like)/ dragon disciple
Eldritch Heritage (abyssal bloodline)
Improved Eldritch Heritage (abyssal bloodline) -- strength of the abyss
Mutagen, rage, +6 inherent bonus, +4 class bonus means you are looking at a +14 bonus to strength at level 11, 16 at level 16 and +18 at level 20 without a belt -- after the belt you have a +24... finally your level increases put that up to +29. Enlarge person permanency and you have a +31 on your starting 20 for a total strength bonus of 51 (with point buy -- your build would have a 53).

I believe Nyancat's ENTIRE point is to make an ALCHEMIST that rivals a barbarian in STR not make a BARB/ALCH/BARD/DRD >.>
every advice thread goes oh STR? barbarian and bard thn red dragon disciple....
