Hey everyone.

question: If you had to pick one race to play, outside the core, which would be your top race?

For me.
Gillmen...Dont even know why, but something about them, just dieing to try one out.
Cheers

Goliaths, updated for PF. Pathfinder only? I guess tiefling... but that carries a lot of emo stigma, I think. I usually play humans or dwarves.

Grand Lodge

Tengu... Defenitely the tengu they are awesome

Lizardfolk! I just bought a few minis and they are so cute! Apparently they make great fighters, too.

LOL Emo....

I actually think i will change mine to Chara-Ka Damn monkeys, thanks Critzible all i want to play is the Chara-Ka, love those baboons lol.

I dont remember Goliaths?
Lizard men, did you ever see the ebberon lizard men? Poison dusk and the big angry one.

Oh and Troll.
1.Gillman
2.Chara Ka (spelling)
3.Troll

those would be my top.

Sahuagin Malenti - +4 Str, +2 Dex, +4 Con, +4 Int, +2 Wis, -2 Cha, Blood Frenzy, Speak with Sharks, Blindsense, Darkvision, 30 foot Base Speed, 60 foot Swim Speed, +5 natural armor, Aquan and Common as starting languages.

Its 2 HD also are d10s and give you good BAB, good Reflex and Will saves, 4 skill points per level, decent class skills, a bite attack, and trident proficiency.

Also, as a Malenti you look like an Aquatic Elf instead of a shark/fish man thing at no extra cost. And with Pathfinders retarded CR adjustment system the whole package costs you almost nothing.

Tiefling, hands down. Ever since AP 25, a tiefling's choices have expanded tenfold (give me a CHA bonus over that fiendish sorcery garbage any day).

I really wish hagspawn (Forgotten Realms, Unapproachable East) were open content. I accept that changelings currently fill that gap, but I'd like a male equivalent (for whenever I get to play). That said, I still consider tieflings as my go-to non-core race.

Dhampir, no question!!
Awkward to adapt to some kinds of groups, but huge amounts of cool factor....
Also their racial abilities and stats tie in really well with the type of characters I like to play.

Sovereign Court

I wouldn't mind trying a Dragonkin after being given the Pathfinder treatment. No Dragonborn folks not the same thing.

I've had a lot of fun playing Gnolls in the past.

What hagspawn aren't open content?

But i loved that NPC in the NWN 2: mask of the betrayer

Arg, i guess i will have to limit myself to accursed bloodline sorcerers.

Anyway my pick would be Asimars.

Goblin.

Between "We Be Goblins!" and Goblins of Golarion, I have fallen in love with the little buggers.

I have always wanted to play a G-noll but never been able to work it into a party. What classes? what type of party? just wondering, i mean i know you can usually work things into most adventures, but i wonder how you did it?

If I had to pick one without any racial hit dice, it would probably be Ifrit... I just have a thing for genies, especially Efreet.

Otherwise, I absolutely would go for Ghaele or Lillend.

Grand Lodge

Warforged or aasimar.

I actually got to play a warforged one session. Bael'avel was an awakened shield guardian who had been trained in combat to protect spellcasters. I rolled him as a fighter/warblade. I'd like to revisit that concept someday.

I'd like to try an aasimar paladin someday, without the LA.

Eberron changeling, if we're including 3.5 stuff. If not, probably either dhampir or goblin, depending on what class I decided to play. The dhampir would likely be an inquisitor, and the goblin an alchemist.

Changeling from Eberron, provided the GM could handle it. After that, I AM enjoying the Kobold I currently am playing. Awesome little critter...

1) Derro
2) Drow
3) Quickling
4) Minotaur

Silver Crusade

Orc
Tiefling
Illumian
Zoveri

...Rogue Modron

Dark Archive

1. Greathorned Minotaur (3.5)
--- Greathorned Minotaur Hammer / 1d12 19-20 crit X4

2. Noble Drow / vampire

3. Imp

4. Quickling

5. Skeletal Champion

Aasimar

kitsune or aasimar

Definitely a "doppleganger" (except one that's balanced and not overpowered).

Grand Lodge

My top four are from
1)Tengu
2)Ubue, strange giant like creatures with three heads, three arms, and three legs
3)Shade human ( from forgotten realms)
4) Warforged

I've also loved the minotaur, ogre magi, and firbolg from second edition

Tiefling

if they give aasimar the same costumization rules as the tiefling, then I would play one too
