After being applied to a weapon does it last indefinitely once its applied and until an attack is made with that weapon? So someone could just apply the poison to a weapon and store it for days/week?
The rules appear to be silent on the issue.
Poison used in traps would need to not dry up merely from elapsed time to be effective, so I don't think you want to impose a set time limit.
I would say that sheathing and drawing the weapon would probably remove the poison. So, that a character could coat the blade well in advance but would have walk around with an unsheathed weapon and be very careful handling it.
Of course this calls all out for having a specialized weapon, such as a dagger, that allows poison to be stored in the hilt so that sheathing it doesn't remove the poison.

Umm all right. Sounds fair. Thanks
