Per the adventure, the caravan to Brinewall goes from Sandpoint to Galduria, to Wolf's Ear, up to Roderic's Cove, then, skirting Riddleport, to the southern heel of the Stony Mountains, along the Velashu River, then north through the Nolands to Brinewall.
While I sure own a whole lot of them, I don't have every Paizo product ever made. I was wondering if any of the above locations have been referenced in any prior Paizo product (APs, PFS adventures, modules, world guides, etc).
Maybe this would be a good thread to compile any such references.

PS--Not only do I support Pathfinder as a third party publisher, but I am actually going to be GMing this AP :) so I'll likely share my thoughts and notes and ideas in some threads through this part of the messageboards (of course, some of what I come up with may make its way into Legendary Games Adventure Path Plug-Ins).

I glanced at their Pathfinder Wiki pages, but didn't find anything particularly interesting in their citations. Except for Riddleport, of course.
For what it's worth:
Wolf's Ear
Roderic's Cove
Galduria
Riddleport
Nolands
Velashu Uplands
Velashu River
Stony Mountains

I have a question about the caravan route, though it may be a question for the author/designers. When I first read through the AP, it mentioned Sandru had a certain preference in plotting the route (in spoiler below). I thought I would find an explanation for that as I continued to read but, if it's there, I missed it. Can anyone explain why this would be? Thanks!

Since you spoilered it, I guess for you I'll have to spoiler the answer.
Because, as detailed in the third PAP, Second Darkness, Riddleport is a hive of scum and villany. Even the ruler got to be the ruler by being the biggest villan!
And since Sandru doesn't like being around such types, he wants to avoid the place.
That answer your question?

I guess so. Thanks! I was wondering if there was something more specific, like he'd run afoul of someone. But if that's all there is (which is also the only thing that came to mind), then it probably doesn't warrant the spoiler.

That is indeed all there is: Sandru just doesn't like the type of folks who dwell in Riddleport.
From a game design perspective, though, it's because the adventure's plot doesn't want to get distracted with Riddleport, and because we didn't have any room in the adventure to INCLUDE a distracting side trek to Riddleport.
If you have Pathfinder #13 and/or the Second Darkness Player's Companion and you want to do a side trek to Riddleport, though, go for it!

Is there any plan for future modules of the AP to contain more detailed (if still relatively brief) descriptions of the stop off points of the caravan? Additionally, being able to have a map of the general area so myself and my players can get a sense of where they're going and how they're getting there would be great.
To be honest it seems like a there's holes in this AP where there's an assumption that everyone running it both owns and has already run Rise of Runelords. I haven't done either (and I can't even purchase a print copy anymore even if I'd like to!)
I'm told that Hook Mountain Massacre has a lot of the information I need to flesh out the caravan journey from Sandpoint to Brinewell, and so I know it might be redundant publishing wise, but I would really have appreciated even just a map showing the caravan route as opposed to the map of the Hinterlands (which may be interested for future campaigns, but likely not this one).
Can anyone tell me if the Gazetteer in Hook Mountain has say a more detailed map of the local area?

The map of Varisia in Hook Mountain is pretty much the same map, with the same detail, as the one in the Inner Sea World Guide.
