[Looking for Suggestions] Lost Spells & Magic?

The player characters in my current campaign are about to enter an ancient ruin (The Runeforge) and by the flavor there should be quite a bit of lost magic treasures and lore ...

While the adventure does what supply some, what I am looking for are some additional spells and magic items to flesh them out.

Can people recommend a few (PathfinderRPG Compatable) 3rd Party Products that would help with this theme of "Forgotton Magics from a Lost Civilization"?


1st Question: What magic do they readily have access to?

I'm assuming you're running Rise of the Rune Lords, if not, there are several items in there that would potentially be useful. In fact, the section talking about "Magic of Thassilon" in one of the books should have quite a few goodies to flesh out the area.


Another option would be the Magic of Thassilon Web Enhancement

Yes, I am running Rise of the Runelords (converting to PathfinderRPG of course).

Yes, I already have the Magic of Thassilon.
(For that matter, I also have Ultimate Magic and Inner Sea Magic).

I was looking for even more that my players are unlikely to have seen already (as they don't really look too much at 3rd Party stuff.). :)

Someone should have pointed these two suppliments out:

  • The Genius Guide to 110 Spell Variants
  • The Genius Guide to Another 110 Spell Variants

    I think that they might be close to what I was looking for (a bunch of new "old" spells) with out wrecking game balance (too badly).
