[UC] Does a Hooked Lance still do x2 damage on a charge?

Rules Questions

On page 131 in its description block it does not say, so I'm assuming not since it doesn't have a pointy end anymore.

Spirited Charge (Combat):

Your mounted charge attacks deal a tremendous amount of damage.

Prerequisites: Ride 1 rank, Mounted Combat, Ride-By Attack.

Benefit: When mounted and using the charge action, you deal double damage with a melee weapon (or triple damage with a lance).

I'm assuming too you only do double damage with a Spirited Charge.

Seems to be that way. Spirited charge only does x3 with a lance because it does x2 already on a mounted charge and x2 and x2 stack to x3. Hooked Lance does not say it does x2 on a charge, so it doesn't.

You'd still get the X2 from Spirited Charge, but it would not be X3 for using a lance, and there is no X2 for charging with a hooked lance. As you say, the hooked lance does not have that bonus in it's description, and though it has "lance" in it's name, it is still a seperate entity from the lance. It seems a hooked lance essentially gives up it's momentum power for the ability to trip. There is a hook meant for grabbing and entangling, not a "pointy end".

Just making sure. Thanks guys.
